KalkAlpenMarsch

A path that leaves its mark!

In the minds of participants, in their memories and in the region.

The KalkAlpenMarsch sets a new standard in 2027 for the Pyhrn-Priel region. The long-distance hiking and trail running event runs along the Nationalpark Kalkalpen through the impressive mountain world between the Sengsengebirge and Totes Gebirge. The focus is not on best times or peak performance, but on mindful journeying, persistence and shared experience. The result is an adventure that combines nature, endurance and community in a unique way.

With the Ultra Distance over 52 km with nearly 2,100 metres of climb and the Challenge Distance over 24 kilometres and around 1,000 metres of climb, the KalkAlpenMarsch offers the right challenge for everyone and perhaps the most beautiful way to experience this region.

It is about going your own way, overcoming personal limits and consciously experiencing this unique nature. Every kilometre tells its own story, every route creates memories that last.

For those who prefer a more sporting approach and want to compete with others, there is the KalkAlpenTrail. On the same impressive routes, the trail running variant focuses on pace, performance and the pursuit of a personal best.

Whether KalkAlpenMarsch or KalkAlpenTrail, in the end both share the same goal: an unforgettable experience in one of Austria's most beautiful natural landscapes.

“The most beautiful experiences usually arise when you can share them with others. We rarely remember finishing times — but the shared stories and special moments stay with us all the more."
Bernhard Graßecker · Initiator & Organisationsleiter
